01 / THE PLANNING STUDY

Every area has a purpose.
Every handoff has a place.

Explore three operational profiles. The study illustrates zoning and workflow relationships; the actual site and technical installation are assessed separately.

THE OPERATION IN VIEW

Pallet reserve. Case picking. Lot visibility.

Separate inbound checks, held stock, reserve storage and forward pick faces. Plan replenishment and lot/expiry visibility around the products you handle.

02 / STORAGE THAT FITS THE GOODS

Start with the product.
Then assess the storage option.

FMCG cartons, eCommerce unit picks, pallets and longer items have different access and replenishment needs. We prepare the brief your supplier can work from.

01 / STORAGE OPTION

Selective pallet racking

Palletized goods and replenishment stock

Assess direct access to individual pallets, the SKU mix and the link between reserve storage and picking.

Record pallet format, handling equipment and access requirements for supplier review.
02 / STORAGE OPTION

Carton flow

Repeat case picks and replenishment

Consider separate replenishment and picking faces where a suitable supplier system supports first-in, first-out movement.

Review carton dimensions, packaging condition and product rotation requirements.
03 / STORAGE OPTION

Shelving & bins

Small items, retail stock and eCommerce

Organize unit-pick locations by item size, order frequency and a location identity operators can scan.

Compare adjustable shelving, bin sizes, pick-face labels and replenishment access.
04 / STORAGE OPTION

Wide-span shelving

Cartons and manually handled stock

Consider open shelf locations for larger cartons and mixed products that are picked by hand.

Prepare product and packaging details for the supplier to confirm the suitable system.
05 / STORAGE OPTION

Cantilever options

Long or irregular goods

Include a specialist supplier option where conventional pallet or shelf locations do not suit the product shape.

Provide item dimensions and handling needs; technical suitability is confirmed by the qualified supplier.
06 / STORAGE OPTION

Floor storage & staging

Inbound, outbound and temporary buffers

Plan identifiable operating areas for handoffs, exceptions and short-term staging.

Capture dwell time, container identity and the separation of active work from stock awaiting a decision.

Final rack systems, load ratings, floor suitability, anchoring, clearances and applicable approvals are confirmed by the equipment supplier and the project’s required qualified professionals. Specialist storage conditions are scoped separately.

03 / A PLAN YOU CAN USE

Clear drawings.
A useful equipment brief.
A practical handover.

Turn the discussion into an agreed set of operational planning documents. Bring the floor, the equipment information and the software setup into the same implementation conversation.

RESPONSIBILITIES, AGREED BEFORE WORK BEGINS

Operational planning.
A clear technical handoff.

Safarionix prepares the operational zoning concept, storage and equipment brief, location structure and agreed WMS implementation. Supplier quotation information and delivery milestones can be coordinated as part of that scope.

Technical design and installation are separate.

Structural rack design, load calculations, stamped or permit drawings, building and fire-safety approvals, statutory safety reviews and physical installation are outside this Safarionix service. The customer appoints the qualified contractors and licensed professionals required locally.

Planning documents are labelled as operational concepts, not construction drawings or installation specifications. Project location, responsibilities, required approvals and costs are confirmed before work begins.

04 / FROM THE PHYSICAL PLAN TO SAFARIONIX

Give the layout a digital identity.

After the customer’s suppliers complete their approved physical setup, we configure and test the agreed operational workflows.

01

Locations & labels

Agree the zone, aisle, bay and position scheme, then prepare location and product identities.

02

Devices & stations

Plan scanner, printer and packing-station requirements and configure the agreed software connections.

03

Test & hand over

Verify representative receiving, putaway, picking and packing scenarios, then train the participating team.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Questions about warehouse planning.

Can you help plan a small warehouse or improve an existing one?

Yes. We scope operational layout planning around your existing premises, product profile, order mix and team. A new warehouse, a relocation or a focused improvement can start with the specific workflow you need to fix.

How do you choose a racking or shelving option?

We prepare an operational comparison using product dimensions, packaging, stock mix, pick frequency, handling method and replenishment needs. The equipment supplier and the project’s appropriately qualified professionals confirm the technical system, load ratings, anchoring and site suitability.

Do you provide structural rack design, permit drawings or physical installation?

No. This service covers operational planning, equipment-brief preparation and WMS readiness. Structural calculations, stamped drawings, permit approvals, statutory safety reviews and physical installation are outside this Safarionix offering. The customer appoints the qualified contractors and licensed professionals required for the project.

Can you help with purchasing and the handoff after installation?

We can organize the requirements list, compare the operational scope of supplier quotations and coordinate equipment information and delivery milestones. After the customer’s suppliers complete their approved installation, we prepare the agreed WMS locations, labels, scanner and printer configuration, workflow tests and team handover.

Is layout planning included in the Cloud subscription or the 90-Day Commitment?

It is a separately scoped service. Planning work, equipment, installation and third-party professional fees are quoted and agreed independently before work begins. The 90-Day Performance Commitment applies only to eligible Safarionix Cloud subscription fees.

What should we bring to the first discussion?

Your existing floor plan or approximate footprint, current storage approach, product and packaging details, SKU count, order pattern, handling equipment and the workflow problems you want to solve. Location, site access and the project’s required specialists are confirmed during scoping.
